Welcome to The Little Things Preschool blog! My students call me Ms. Katie and you can too! I am a certified Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education teacher, with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s of Education from the University of Cincinnati with a focus on Language Development. I have worn many hats as a teacher. I have taught preschool in the public school system, taught in daycare centers, provided in-home care, taught parent classes, and taught classes for gifted students. My main profession has been that of a public preschool teacher, I taught in a local school district for five years, and then took a break to raise my own children for ten years. I have returned to the preschool classroom to teach again.
I work in a public preschool, teaching children from ages three to five. My classroom is inclusive and I collaborate with parents, speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, interpreters and many preschool teachers. I believe that collaboration is key in the preschool classroom! I started this blog to share ideas that I find fun, useful and educational in my preschool classroom.
I am very interested in collaborating on guest posts, promotions and giveaways that are preschool related. Reach out to me if you have an idea! And be sure to visit my original blog for recipes, organizing tips, vacation ideas and more: The Little Things Journal.
